We received this amazing customer comment regarding our pastels…….

‘I just opened a box of your pastels that was immersed in sea water and roughed up by Hurricane Sandy. I’d given them up as lost but finally open the box. Although some are a bit lumpy they are still great to work with. You’ll say I should know they can with stand a soaking but still I thought I’d let you know. I wish I could attach a photo of the box and pastels but can’t in this message. So thanks for a great product…..’

Lea had been saving the pastels for a worthy pastel painting. Superstorm Sandy hit the east coast of the US in 2012. The box of pastels had been on the studio shelf since then. Lea didn’t have the heart to open the box until yesterday.

We had no idea our pastels could survive a Superstorm!
