For the last 4 years I’ve been taking part in Hampshire Open Studios. It’s a yearly event where Artists from across the County open up their Studio to the public over a period of 10 days.
If you are a beginner to painting portraits in Pastel, this is for you, if you’re struggling because you feel you’ll never improve or your just starting out, this is for you and if you’re looking all around you, seeing beautiful art that you’ll never aspire too, this is also, for you.
My pastel journey, started in December 2015 when my sister bought me a Christmas present of 6 pastel pencils. I had no idea what they were as I’d only ever used graphite pencil. I was afraid of colour from many failed attempts with paint!
