Let’s talk about Pastel Paper

Paper is a fantastic medium to work on soft pastels, but selecting the one that’s perfect for you can be a challenge, as there’s plenty to choose from. Whether you choose your paper from availability, price or quality, whether you are an amateur or a professional, it boils down to what works best for you.

Artistic Talent – Nurture vs Nature?

Whether we are born with an innate artistic talent, or, whether it is learned, is an age-old multifaceted debate that is fascinating, complex and compelling. I am sure most artists have considered it at some point or have an opinion on this theory.

  1. (Translated)Very interesting event! A professional artist, masterly wielding incredible technique, will answer different questions! It’s fantastic! My thought immediately arose: I will never be able to draw like this… Watercolor underpainting, then pastel! All this happens quickly, technically, with soul. super!

  2. I am doing a lunch party for an 80th birthday at that time. Is it something I can watch after everyone has gone home? I’d love to be able to see it!

  3. Will this demo be available after the live session please? it will be 3am Monday in NZ so i don’t think i will join at THAT time!

  4. I like the reference-photo and I do love the colors which Robert is using. I have obligations elsewhere that afternoon but maybe I can see this demo later? I do hope so!! Happy pastelling from The Netherlands!
