Growing up Tara spent time watching the creative hands of her grandmother. This instilled in her a love of art and the act of creating. She started working in pastels about five years ago and has been hooked ever since.
Tara started attending plein air events bringing pastels in the field to compete nationally. She loves bold expressive work and tries to reflect a sense of self in all her work. She has been featured in the Pastel 100 and has achieved Master Circle status with the International Association of Pastel Societies. Tara was designated the bronze award at the IAPS convention 2017. She has competed in several national plein air events, winning awards and prizes.
She currently resides in Maryland with her husband and four children.
