Associate Artist Intake for 2022
It seems a while ago since we asked for applications from artists to become an Associate Artists & wow the applications came in thick & fast. So much so it took our Unison Helen a good while to get through them all.
Teresa Seals is a passionate pasteller who only picked up a Unison four years ago but now cannot put them down!
She took A Level Art back in days of yore but, after gaining her degree in English Literature, disappeared into the world of soft fruit farming and then English teaching. A few enforced snow days in 2018 (see her previous blog about the Beast from the East!) and a magazine article about Emma Colbert led to her first Unison purchase and now, a few thousand pastel strokes later, she is leaving the world of secondary English teaching to follow her dream of making art for a living!
Teresa is primarily a wildlife artist who works in a realist style. She loves using the natural pigments of Unison to depict the beauty around her. She also creates human portraits and feels privileged to depict someone’s loved one in pastel.
Combining her teaching and pastelling skills, Teresa runs weekly classes, workshops, tuition and demonstrations for art groups.

I can tell you the exact day I first picked up a Unison pastel: Tuesday February 27th 2018 – the Beast from the East gave me the day that every secondary school teacher hopes for – a Snow Day!
