We are often asked which paper is the best to use for our soft pastels. I asked 3 of our Associate Artists for their opinion.

I had been delighted to have been asked to demonstrate & promote my very favourite pastels UNISON (what else!) I have been using these since I first discovered them in the Skipton Art Shop in approx 1988, my goodness showing my age now.

Our first plein air day here at La Grande Maslerie, Roullours, Normandy, France. It was a wonderful morning with glorious sunshine so we headed to a nearby pond with water lilies au Monet!

Unison Colour pastels are very buildable. Try mixing colours by applying one on top of the other then use a blending stick to the mix (also called a tortillon).
