“Between Colour and Line” – Moscow Exhibition

“Between Colour and Line”, the pastel society in Russia, ran an exhibition in Moscow from December 13th-16th, with the help of Julia Dubinina, a seller of Unison Colour pastels in Russia.

We provided pastel prizes for the winners, and there were lectures, demos, master classes and a test zone where Julia was on hand to give advice on our pastels.

More than 800 guests visited over the 4 days, and artists came from Russia, UK, Finland, Turkey and Germany to present their artwork in the spectacular Exposed Art Center gallery. The event was a huge success, and Julia has sent some great photos over, to show us how the day went.

Exploration

The dictionary defines a journey as an act of traveling from one place to another. This would seem to imply a start and an endpoint. For me, as an artist, there really is no ending to my travels.

Fragility and Brokenness

Having recently joined the Unison Colour community as an Associate Artist, I was excited to interact with other pastellists in Unison’s Facebook Group. Early on, I was intrigued by the comments on a fairly sad posting.
